The basics of how ordering, payment, and cancellations work.

About Saradough & Co.

Saradough & Co. is a registered Cottage Food Operation with the Will County Health Department & Community Health Center (Registration #2026-191). All items are made in a home kitchen that is not subject to routine health department inspection, may process common food allergens, and are sold under Illinois' Cottage Food law for direct sale to consumers only.

Placing an order

Orders are not same-day — please allow at least 24 hours.
After you submit an order, we'll review it and reach out within 24–48 hours to confirm details, including your pickup or delivery time.
An order isn't guaranteed until we've confirmed it with you directly.
Please note any allergies or special requests in the notes field — we'll do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Payment

We currently accept debit or credit card (processed securely through Square) and cash on delivery/pickup. Prices shown on the site are current but may change without notice for future orders; you'll always be charged the price shown at the time you placed your order.

Pickup & delivery

Pickup is available in Joliet and Barrington on Saturdays; the exact pickup address is sent out the day of. Delivery is currently limited to Joliet, within 5 miles, for a flat $2.50 delivery fee. We'll confirm your specific time slot after you submit your order.

Text message updates

If you sign up for text updates through our Subscribe page, you're agreeing to receive recurring SMS messages from Saradough & Co. about new products and event locations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging is handled through our provider, Twilio — see our Privacy Policy for how that data is used.

Cancellations & changes

Need to cancel or change an order? Just reach out as soon as possible.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup/delivery time are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future order.
Because baking begins in advance, cancellations within 24 hours of pickup/delivery may not be eligible for a refund, though we'll always try to work with you.

Quality issues

If something arrives damaged, wrong, or not as described, let us know within 24 hours with a photo if possible, and we'll make it right — whether that's a remake, credit, or refund, handled case by case.

Liability

All products are made in a home kitchen with common allergens present (including wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, and others depending on the item). By ordering, you acknowledge this and take responsibility for reviewing ingredients if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. Saradough & Co. is not liable for allergic reactions where allergen information was disclosed in advance.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally as our process evolves. The version posted here is always the current one.
